I have just collected a ring and a pendant from this store and am absolutely delighted with them. I had some stones that were of sentimental value and I wanted them to be put into a ring and a pendant with a modern design. The staff were very helpful in showing me lots of ideas and drawings for designs I could have. I would one million per cent recommend Watermans as the place to go to if you have any jewellery you would like to be redesigned.

Amazing people super kind and friendly and very considerate I took a bracelet I bought over to them as it snapped and I bought it for sentimental reasons they fixed it right up within 30 mins I would 100% recommend it was my first time going there and I’d definitely go back again

I am over the moon with the results of my engagement ring! I went to every jeweller In Banbury and every single one either said they won’t touch the ring because of the complexity of it and the materials (sterling silver black rhodium) and the amount of stones in it… I was absolutely gutted! Watermans was the very last place I could try… They are so professional and very kind and considerate. Not to mention well worth the money! I dropped it off the Tuesday and I got it back today! (Wednesday). Definitely recommended!!

I had an amazing experience at Waterman's recently. I had a roll a ball bracelet weighing 52 grams of 9ct yellow gold in my jewellery box only brought out for special occasions. Anyone who knows me knows I like to wear good quality jewellery all the time and not wasted in a box. So I went in for a chat and spoke to a lady called Jan. What a lovely and helpful lady full of ideas and took her time with me. She made me feel relaxed and got my enthusiasm up to have this bracelet melted down and made into something else rather than just sell it.
So I decided to have a solid oval bracelet made which would be more comfortable for me to wear everyday. She got one of the goldsmith's to come out and talk me through sizes and options etc and I soon settled on what I wanted. A few weeks later
I was called in for a fitting to see if they got the sizing correct, all very professionally done I must say. When I actually collected the finished item a week later I was over the moon. It was beautiful and just what I wanted. I think the lady goldsmiths name was Isabel? Anyway she was so helpful and it fitted perfectly.
If it wasn't for that first chat with Jan I would still be sulking about this bracelet sitting in my jewellery box!! Instead I now have an amazing solid gold, heavy, beautiful bracelet. It looks stunning and fits perfectly.
Thank you to all the team at Waterman's you really made this old bird very happy indeed. 👍

Watermans has always been our jewellers of choice. My parents always went to them and myself and my family do too. Always helpful and always go that extra for their customers. I have had jewellery repaired, made and purchased pieces and always have the same brilliant service. Jan is a particular star! Cannot recommend them highly enough.

I went to Waterman's in the summer of 2021, I had purchased a solid gold bracelet from a reputable online jeweller that needed altering, I had a really positive experience. It was done fast, and the staff were friendly and professional. I sold the bracelet in 2022 and had the links they removed laying around, obviously I didn’t need the links and wanted to sell them as scrap gold. I spoke to a lady on the phone very clearly and specifically explaining that I have some solid gold curb links which I want to sell as scrap gold and she said that’s absolutely fine and something she would be interested in looking at. A few weeks later I brought in the links, there were two ladies, one which I think I had seen from the previous year, I presented the few links to the lady behind the till, she took them while saying “you won’t get much for that” in a very passively rude way, she went off to ask someone else about the links, I heard some whispering and a few discussions going on, a few moments later she came back with some other lady explaining they couldn’t take the links because the links were not “hallmarked” have you ever heard so much utter rubbish in your life, these are supposedly “goldsmiths” you would expect they would have the equipment or facilities to test whether or not the links were or weren’t gold, they were both looking at me like I was absolutely nuts for even bringing in the links, it was almost like they were ganging up on me, it was truly bizarre, the second lady who came out to tell me they can’t take the links was wearing casual attire, i’m not sure if she was the owner or the manager or what but she looked at me with this deep passive aggressive stare almost trying to stare me out of the shop. The whole experience was very uncomfortable for myself. I felt ganged up on and you just know as soon as I left they had a little giggle and a gossip, a truly horrible experience. That will be the last time I ever walk back into that shop. Just for reference, the links weighed 4.5 grams which as of April 2022 was approximately £77, so just under £80 worth, still worth a decent amount. I think the two ladies need to have a good look in the mirror and reevaluate their social skills and customer service skills, I say that as someone who has only ever worked in industries where customer service or social skills are crucial, I have worked as an assistant manager in a few 4 star hotels and currently working as an estate agent of nearly 5 years which both industries are based around customer service or social skills. I could never imagine treating a customer in such a deliberately rude and uncomfortable manner. It was a good job I was tired and in a rush to get some food shopping, otherwise I would have bit back and told both ladies what I really thought. Utterly appalling.
