Banbury Waitrose, I went thru the self service tills, approx 12 in total, .very early morning no one else there!!!!! Assistant told me off, very abrupt, my trolley needed to be put the other way round as it was sticking out, I apologized and said no one else is here and I didn't realize the trolleys had special spaces! The lady was very rude and said well you do now and that the tills got very busy quickly, at 7.30am there were more staff than customers!!!!

Fantastic store. Great helpful and very polite staff. Big aisles, broad selection of products. One of the best buying experiences of any store you could get. 10 out of 10. One of the best stores of any company in the uk.

A great supermarket, with quality products.
Some items are pricey. However, I don't like the fact you cannot pay cash into self service tills!

The shop is great, with the normal range of quality products that you would expect.
The only downside is the Café, how does anybody make a burger too sweet? It was a brioche bun (why?) some kind of jam, which I scraped out, but even the cheese was sweet!

Love this cafe. Perfect place to start your day. Unfortunately no hot food due to technical issues but still nice coffee and croissants as an alternative 🙂 fully recommend. Family friendly, amazing stuff and service.

What a eloquent Waitrose Store. My friend and I had one mission, and this mission was to buy blonde chocolate. This took some time because Waitrose decided to hide the blonde chocolate. But any how we managed to find the chocolate which then we purchased. I would like to mention, the bogs are well hidden away from view, without any signs. I guess this is stop all the peasants and crackheads from spoiling the scenery.
Ps cleanest supermarket bogs.

Nice store, well stocked, helpful staff but no self service cash tills at all. Lovely cafe, all on ground floor.

I shopped at Banbury Waitrose for the first time this week (Wednesday 2nd October around 4pm). I had a loaded trolley and didn't realise I just had to ask for someone to hop on a till. Instead I done self service.

My first issue was that with a loaded trolley, there wasn't enough room for all the bags I needed. The staff member quickly helped and explained that I just had to ask for a till.

Then, I tried to pay and the self service till basically said no. For whatever reason, my basket could not be retrieved so I had to scan everything again. Note that I had a bored 4 year old with me.

They opened a till for me. Paul was the name of the man. He scanned my stuff for me and gave me some freebies as a way of apology. This was welcomed and I was grateful. It was unexpected and such a lovely gesture. As I was packing, the lady from self service, I want to say her name was June, came and presented me with a bouquet of flowers to say sorry for the problems. When I asked why, she said it was because I didn't kick off. This made me sad. Why kick off at something the staff cannot control? It happens! Was I frustrated? Yes. Was I angry? No. I work with IT and I am well aware that sometimes it just doesn't work. Made me sad because someone must have been nasty about it before.

Such kindness was shown to me and it meant the world at the time. I was overwhelmed with the kindness. Have nothing but praise for the staff. Unbeatable customer service. Paul and June, thank you. Both wonderful people.
