What a beautiful set of Lodges. A real gem. From looking for the next running location to hit the trails or just to relax for a wellness weekend then Toad Hall has got you all covered.

From luxury lodges, to beautiful private shower block, outside kitchen, sauna and workout studio. It will take you of your feet.

I could not recommend more and Gavin was a dream of a host with accommodating for us and showing us around the area.

Launching our first yoga retreat at Toad Hall Lodges was a leap of faith, filled with both excitement and anticipation. Thankfully, Gavin and Emma's dedication to creating a memorable experience was evident. Toad Hall's tranquil farmland location provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation and rejuvenation. The attention to detail in the lodges' design was evident, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that felt like a home away from home. Evenings were magical as we practiced yoga, the crackling fire pit providing a soothing soundtrack just outside the studio. The ice bath and sauna offered a deeply revitalising experience. We are very grateful to Gavin and Emma for crafting such an unforgettable experience!

Our stay at Toad Hall Lodges was outstanding. A dreamy balance of high quality luxury and being immersed in nature. The location is ideal - surrounded by everything you could possibly want and need - delicious food, great pubs, coastal walks etc. There was a very useful info pack and books in our lodge with local information and recommendations. The site has incredible facilities too, including an outdoor kitchen. We enjoyed a morning sauna and ice bath. All of the facilities are top of the range and spotlessly clean. We left feeling deeply relaxed and restored. You really feel the healing benefits of being surrounded by nature, alongside the treat of luxurious accommodation and facilities. I highly recommend staying here - you’re truly missing out if you don’t!

Everything about Toad Hall Lodges is just wonderful! A beautiful combination of luxury and rustic.
Just love the communal kitchen area looking out over the fields and if you are lucky enough to sit there for sunset you’re in for a treat!
I can’t leave a review without mentioning the beds!!! Oh my goodness they are soooo incredibly comfortable! The attention to detail is 10/10 only the best for those that stay at Toad Hall 💜
The hosts are there to make sure your stay is perfect an that exactly what they do and if you are looking for a place to eat saves cooking, they have great recommendations 🌟

Had the pleasure of staying at Toad Hall Lodges for a wonderful running retreat and could not be more satisfied! The bedrooms were beautiful decorated with a wonderful bed and at perfect temperature when we arrived, the views outside are breathtaking, the sauna and ice bath made the running recovery much easier and the Yoga Studio overseeing the sunset made the whole experience relaxing and wholesome! We stayed as a group for a trail running retreat with Gavin at Toad Hall Lodges this weekend and had an unforgettable experience.

From the moment we arrived, Gavin made us feel incredibly welcome, greeting us with a cozy fire and recommending a local pizza spot that was nothing short of amazing. After a great evening, we settled into the comfiest beds, wrapped in excellent bedding, and enjoyed the warmth of our well-appointed cabins.

Saturday morning began with a hearty breakfast prepared in the outdoor kitchen before we set off for a scenic 13-mile trail run along the seafront. Gavin, an expert guide, was mindful of the different fitness levels in our group, making sure everyone was included and comfortable. His deep knowledge of the local trails and landmarks added an enriching layer to the run, which ended perfectly with a stop for delicious fish and chips.

Back at the lodges, we were treated to a fantastic post-run recovery session. Gavin had heated the sauna and prepared an ice plunge bath, giving us the perfect way to unwind. The showers were equally impressive—plenty of hot water and great pressure, with impeccably clean bathrooms.

Our evening wrapped up with a barbecue in the outdoor kitchen, followed by yet another peaceful and restful night’s sleep on those incredibly comfortable beds.

I couldn’t recommend Toad Hall Lodges enough. Huge thanks to Gavin for creating such an amazing weekend for our group—it was a perfect blend of adventure, comfort, and relaxation.

I have stayed at Toad Hall a few times now, and hosted 2 of my yoga retreats with them and it is such a special experience there.
The place is utterly beautiful, a real retreat away from the busyness of day to day life.
Waking up to nature on your doorstep, in the warmth and comfort of a luxury lodge is something I didn’t take for granted. Listening to the sound of the birds as I made my breakfast in the outdoor kitchen was blissful, and coffee on the veranda looking out on the field will always be the most perfect way to start the day.
I used the hot tub and ice bath which felt like such a luxury and self care moment. Through the magical garden path, nestled in a quiet corner that feels like your own even just for the hour you spend there. Gavin and Emma are so incredibly kind, and were always there if I needed any help or for a lovely chat 🙂
This really is the perfect place to retreat to, even for 1 or 2 nights, you will leave feeling refreshed, more connected to nature, and booking your next trip back.

A group of friends and I stayed at Toad Hall Lodges this weekend for a running retreat. We had a brilliant time for our two-night stay. Gavin was an excellent host and tour guide for our trail run. The lodges and bathrooms were clean, comfy, well-stocked and warm, on a particularly cold weekend in October. Thank you for looking after us and making our stay so enjoyable. We’ll be back!
