My mum went in with my daughter,who is 13 yrs old.
My daughter wanted to purchase an eyebrow and eyelash kit consisting of tweezers,eyelash curler scissors and comb for £4.99 ,she took it to the counter, bear in mind the kit contained a rounded end pair of scissors, the staff member (male,possibly the manager) refused to sell them to her because they contained a sharp object!! I don't consider rounded ended scissors to be Sharp and understand they're made like this for safety reasons, does this not look like a case of jobsworth?
My mother took full responsibility and suggested that she purchase the kit on her behalf, the assistant still refused to let her buy them suggesting that once purchased she would give them to my daughter.
Has the world gone completely mad where they think a 13-year old travelling with her grandmother just spending some of her Christmas money is likely to self harm or take her own life on a pair of rounded end eyebrow scissors!!!
I took the complaint to their customer services who completely agreed, suggesting that they had indeed been over zealous in their refusal and despite it being policy it had been taken to a whole new level and no comment sense applied.

Good selection of clothes, homeware, ideas for presents at discounted prices usually. However they can be mixed up so not always easy to find things. Good for browsing and you may find a bargain that fits you perfectly.

Well lit and roomy shop. Really good bargains many luxury brands at amazing prices. Marvelous for presents and clothing. Good kids selection of gifts to suit all pockets.
Nice friendly staff.
Management need to get more staff out on the tills. Too slow at times.

Very disorganised. Spent twenty minutes routing through all the rails. To not find a matching set of jack suit. 2 floors with a lift but neverfound a complete jracksuit I liked. Perhaps this could be changed

First time looking here, used to shop in the Reading branch when they first came onto the high street, not nearly as good deals now as back then poss a victim of their own success. Still worth a visit though.
