I recently had the pleasure of attending a wedding at The Thomas Paine Hotel, and I can confidently say that it was a breathtaking experience from start to finish. Located in the heart of the town, and the venue itself is a perfect blend of rustic charm and elegance, with a beautifully building. The high ceilings and soft string lights added a warmth and inviting atmosphere.

What truly sets The Thomas Paine Hotel apart is the exceptional staff. From the moment we arrived, they were friendly, attentive, and ensured everything went smoothly. The event coordinator was in constant communication with the couple, making sure every detail was accounted for. The catering was also top-notch, offering a variety of delicious options that pleased even the pickiest of eaters.

My friends saw the venue advertised on GB News, which was a surprise to us all, but the venue exceeded what we saw on the TV ad.

A group of 28 visited The Thomas Paine Hotel as part of a history group wanting to learn more about Thomas Paine. The hotel opened especially for us, providing coffee and cake on arrival and lunch after we had been on a guided tour of the town and the museum housed in the hotel. We did not stay over night but the staff were most accommodating and friendly during the time we were there ensuring all our needs were met. The lounge and restaurant were very comfortable and the food was just as we ordered. It was easy to plan our visit and the leader of the guided tour was exceptional.

As a family we have visited The Thomas Paine twice now, once for Christmas lunch and once today for a joint birthday meal. Both times they have gone above and beyond to ensure we were happy and comfortable, and that our needs were being met. All staff were welcoming and friendly, checking in with us and making sure we had everything we need. Nothing was too much and they always made us feel at home. Today they even opened up their kitchen just for our table as they remembered us from Christmas. When it was time for cake all the staff members came in singing happy birthday and it was just a lovely atmosphere. I feel it’s the extra things like this that really make The Thomas Paine worth visiting over and over. Cannot rate them highly enough and would recommend to all.

Had our wedding at Thomas paine hotel yesterday and had amazing day. Gez, Rosie and team went above and beyond to accommodate us and our guests nothing was a problem. Food was great all my guests commented on how good food was. So a big thank you to gez, Rosie and sanci all the waiting staff and bar staff you did amazing job

Christmas Day was fabulous. The food was amazing and Gez, Rosy and Saanchi welcome you with open arms . Such a lovely atmosphere with a log fire burning to enjoy your coffee and mince pies infont of .. thank you for a truly magical day. We hope to see you all again soon

We have had our work Christmas party for several years at the Thomas Paine. As usual Gez and his team did a fantastic job looking after all of us. The food was great and hit the right notes even if our attempt at Karaoke didn’t. |Thank you all for a great night.
