This place is a guilty pleasure! Having spoken with the boss this evening, and learning a lot about Samosas, I thought I'd leave a review.

In twenty years, I've only had a couple of 'not great' donner kebabs. Obviously they're not healthy food, but once a month. Draw the line! And the meat Samosas, top marks.

Ordered a donner kebab, received just a tray of donner meat that was incredibly bland and tasted genuinely of nothing. Not fit for consumption.

Won’t be returning, very poor. A waste of time and money.

So we odered 2 chicken tikka salads.... The chicken was dry and far too salty and as you can see the salad was a joke
(Probably one of the main parts of a salad dish)
The pizza and kebab meat and chips were fine

Only giving one star because can't give zero, where do I start, the place is filthy although empty with three people stood around doing nothing. Most of the menu wasnt available,
large tray of donner meat which was freezing cold and stale, onion bhajis which were more like cardboard bahjis tasteless, three salads, green onions which wasn't even included when we checked, the sauces were disgusting, this is most definitely not edible food. We didn't even touch it went straight in the bin. Wouldn't even feed it to the dog!! Waste of £20 never been before and will never go back. Awful place wants shutting down.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Ordered online 12/04/2024 the order was accepted and the money went to pending out of my account. I then got an email to say the order was cancelled. I called the shop but no answer, I drove to the shop but no one there. The money has since left my account and I haven't been able to speak with anyone to get a refund.

Be wary!
Food never arrived, stopped answering the phone and never refunded the money. Never have I ever received such appalling service. I understand that at times food may be delayed but to lie and screen calls and then promise the food and a refund are on their way (3hours after ordering) and neither arrive.

Appalling. Will never return and would not recommend.

My favourite takeaway UNTIL - £3.50 to deliver 0.9 miles?… That’s taking the mick.
When you realise Barkisland is your bread and butter and your delivery car doesn’t do 10mpg then I might start reordering. For now, we all look to West Vale instead
