Quarrybank did a complicated new boiler installation in our Victorian Townhouse. They were highly professional, and good value. Lee and Tom were especially good - shout out for Dave, Josh and Martin, too. Highly recommend.

Yet another great job by Quarrybank. I've used them numerous times from boiler and plumbing emergencies to a whole bathroom refit.
The service is always prompt, polite, knowledgeable and tidy.
Big thanks to Lee who had a very tricky job sorting out a bypass pipe for us yesterday

Our boiler broke down at the beginning of the cold weather. Quarrybank plumbers were quick to come out and got it sorted for us as soon as possible. Really polite and informative service. I’d highly recommend them.

Very good and knowlegeable engineers that came out when we had an issue with our boiler. However, the reason for two star review is due to the lack of transparancy on their costs. I asked to break down the costs to understand what is the labour cost and cost of parts but they stated they dont provide break down of costs. And to clean out a secondary heat exchanger which is a one hour job, they were charging over £300!! It makes no sense how a company can charge customers without being transparent on their hourly rates. I would recommend going elsewhere if you have any sort of issues with your boiler.

UPDATE: To respond to the comment below from the owner, a new boiler was never suggested so that statement is completely false. The initial issue was with the flow and return pipes that were blocked and it was suggested to replace those and install a magnetic filter to prevent future blockages. At no point was it mentioned a new boiler was the best course of action. I understand the scope of works is mentioned in the quote but it does not breakdown what the cost of labour is and what the cost of parts is. And my point regarding the cost still stands on how a company can charge over £300 for simple clean of a secondary heat exchanger which is no more than an hours work. I would not recommend them for any boiler repair or servicing works in the future to friends or family.

Update: Had some work done on a downstairs loo mixer tap which had to be replaced in the end. Sadly the replacements were faulty (manufacturer fault, not Quarrybank's) but another replacement was ordered and they sorted everything out at no extra cost (it was a MUCH nicer tap, too🥰). Nothing was too much hassle or a problem, even though it was a tiny, fiddly job.

Old review: My go-to workmen! I’ve now had re-fitted shower and re-tiled main bathroom, replacement boiler and just recently they’ve installed a pumped, circulatory system under the upstairs floorboards so we have continual hot water as soon as we switch the taps on downstairs (big house).
They work so hard and tidily and did the last job while we were away. One of the carpets had a couple of lumps underneath when we came back, but they came back and sorted it no problem. We have instant hot water downstairs now, it's wonderful!!! No more running the taps for ages, wasting so much water to get hot water from tge Megaflow all the way up in the loft☺️
