Windsors have been working on and off in our house for the last couple of years, transforming a family bathroom, downstairs cloakroom and en-suites!! They have just completed a fitted bedroom. We are delighted with their designing (Dom and Rob) and workmanship and are over the moon with all their work. The bedroom has been particularly outstanding. The tradesman are all great , polite, punctual and tidy!! It is lovely having a 'team' coming to do the work and not different people each time. Also, final payment is not requested until the job is complete and we are satisfied with the end product. After Sales service has also been very good. Would definitely recommend and we look forward to having our kitchen done in due course. Here are just a few photos. Our bedroom was completely transformed!!

Fantastic experience from end to end. We had 2 bathrooms designed and fitted from Windsor's, and I cant thank them enough for what they've created. Dominic took all of our requirements and helped design the space in a way that is both functional and stylish, and helped find the balance of cost and quality. When it came to fitting the guys were brilliant, conscientious, nothing was too much trouble, and most importantly tidy.

Not a good experience!
We had our bathroom redesigned with a new shower around January/February time. We were happy with the design but during the fit and afterwards, we found lots of little issues that had been missed- no grout in some tiles, missing silicone which caused leaks onto our downstairs ceiling, pipes banging when the sink tap was turned on.
Come August, a pipe that hadn’t been fitted correctly during the work, had worked its way out of the fitting and flooded all of downstairs, our ceiling came down, sofas and laptop destroyed and there was an inch of water soaking the floor, not to mention the walls and all the electrics.
After Windsor accepted liability for the damage, What we initially thought was a compassionate offer from Windsor to redo all of our downstairs (we had to sue against their public liability insurance), we realised that this was just a way for them to secure another overpriced job to do.

During the works, the owner never showed up to oversee or check in on the job, despite us hearing from other staff he would personally do the flooring. The flooring was done poorly (much worse than its original state) the damaged tiles, gaps of different widths between the tiles and flooring that runs off at angles. Moreover, the flooring was rushed (a five day job done in 2.5 days) and we are still finding floor that was dry laid and never stuck down. We have recently discovered mould coming back up underneath the flooring through the skirting boards that they haven’t sealed at all in sections. To top it off, we are still waiting (nearly two months now) for our porch floor to be stuck down! When we complained about the quality of the flooring, the only suggestion was to rip it up and do it again. Having seen the poor workmanship, I didn’t want to do this again. Especially after 3 months of having no downstairs and 3 weeks of invasive work.

Our sofas were left outside in the rain under a tarp sheet whilst the works were done (we had no storage elsewhere due to having to empty our house after the initial flood). When we pointed this out, we were told it did not really matter whether or not they were ruined, as they were claimed for on our contents insurance (We didn’t have new sofas at this point and now couldn’t use anything in the meantime). Not really the attitude to have towards someone’s belongings! We still have these sofas in a neighbours garage which are now covered in mould and stains, too.

On the plus side, the painting and the plastering was very good.

On the whole, the experience felt rushed, not a priority and there was a clear lack in communication between staff and managers. This was a long and uncomfortable 3 months for myself and my partner. This wasn’t a case of righting a wrong, but getting a job on a guaranteed insurance pay out, in part due to our naivety to the situation! I managed to secure a 10% discount for the damaged/poorly laid kitchen floor and the trouble, but it doesn’t really feel enough. You live and learn!

Do you like substandard service? Do you enjoy substandard bathrooms? Faulty goods? Yes? Then Windsors is definitely the place for you!!
We purchased a bathroom unit, sink and tap along with a toilet and all the extra gubbins needed for our cloakroom. The sink and unit were great but the toilet bowl seemed to have an oddity about it! Something wouldn't seem to flush away!! What could it be I hear you ask. Well in the manufacturing process a lump of clay remained in the bowl of the loo and was subsequently glazed and then the loo sold to us. To be fair Windsors may not have known about the fault, just like we didn't, until it was fitted. So, I thought I'd give them a ring. Bring it back in for a refund they said, and if you want another it's an additional £103.00 to pay!! Well, we all know the price of plumbers these days!! The response was disappointing to say the least!! I did suggest they send their own plumber to come and exchange the offending unit but alas was met with a deafening silence. So, my recommendation? Use Local Plumbing Supplies if you want quality service. Before, and of course, afterwards and not Windsors!

Dominic came up with a design we hadn't considered, which gave us additional space in our cramped bathroom. Expertly fitted by Dan, we are very pleased with the result. Highly recommended.

Windsor’s gutted and remodelled our old fashioned bathroom as we wanted a walk in shower and the sink and toilet repositioned in the room!

Never used. Never would. Why? Always parking they're massive 4 x 4 vehicles in the shoppers parking spaces. Most unfriendly. Not socially aware in my view. TP.
