Optimus were able to help us when we were let down by another removals company. Nicole couldn’t do enough, even late on a Friday, to help. The communication was excellent. The two removal men were incredibly efficient and very friendly. I would highly recommend Optimus to others. Excellent service.

They have a dismantling and reassembly Free of charge service what helped me a lot with my removal.We had a problem with key collection but Alex and Gary was very helpful, they were very nice and waited, made the whole move seem very easy. Our experience with Optimus was fantastic, from my initial enquiry, spoke to Nicole Shar (an amazing woman with impeccable customer services skills and professionalism, besides being friendly and really all round fantastic!), she took care of everything, she offered us a great price on an all packed and removals package, and everything was done with full flexibility and professionalism. The packing team, did a great job, they were a few glitches along the way, but in house move like ours there are bound to be, but they were handled by Nicole and the team superbly. On the day of the move, the removal guys were also amazing, and very fast. Again a few more tiny issues, but Nicole was at hand to sort the problem and our move was complete and we were very happy with the teams.
What could.be been a nightmare, it was really quite ok. I would recommend to anyone moving. I hope not to have to move again, but if I do, I will not hesitate to contact them again.

They listened carefully to instructions and were very responsive and efficient. We would definitely hire this company again and highly recommend for your removal needs.

Friendly and slick but did not take proper care in loading or unloading. When an item was found to be damaged in transit there was no offer of compensation from the driver. I have since found out that my contract was with a broker and not the actual removers. Trying to make a claim with the broker who is not interested, he has passed it on to the driver who has yet to respond. Not a good experience and I would not recommend this service.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

We used Optimus for our attempted removal on Thursday 2nd June 2022.

We had a video call for Optimus to review our possessions, we had already packed the boxes, dismantled everything. The only things not packed were the clothes. We'd also labelled all the boxes to ensure they were delivered into the correct rooms. Optimus said that their system had calculated how much space was required and it would be one 3.5 ton van. I questioned if everything would fit and they said it would fit. It was agreed that Optimus would arrive 8am, load everything into the van, deliver our goods to Lancashire, assemble the wardrobes and the beds. We'd be given van tracking so we could see exactly what was happening and everything felt very professional.

The van was due at 8am on Thursday, it arrived at 10:05am. The team then proceeded to complain and state that not everything would fit. Turns out it didn't (I had to hire another van drive 8 hour round trip to collect the remaining goods)

We were told it would take 2 to 2.5 hrs to load the van as we had already done most of the work. It didn't it actually took them 4 hours. The team were less than helpful, we ended up packing our own clothes into the wardrobe boxes, they only had 2, so we had to assemble the rest of the boxes and stuff what clothes we could into boxes and then take down the rails too.

We should have been on the road based on the original plan for 10/11am. It was 14:30 before the van actually set off. There was a bit of a surprise as the driver claimed he didn't know that he was driving 3.5 hours to Lancashire.

We received a phone call from someone in the office (mid route). He demanded payment there and then. I tried to explain, a) that we were still driving up b) we didn't know if the van had arrived and c) the job hadn't been completed.

The van eventually arrived but they had locked the van doors and were refusing to remove our goods as the working day was over and therefore we needed to pay the full amount plus any over time. We agreed a job rate, not an hourly rate or a day rate. It was to complete the work.

Our goods were thrown into the garage without care of attention, the beds and wardrobes weren't ever assembled. Optimus’s view is that they only give rough quotes so you could end up double what you’d agreed. It’s criminal. So please AVOID.

Optimus replied to my email asking for some form of compensation for all of the above. No change as I should have read the small print.

Shifted entire house of content from UK to Switzerland in July 2022.
Removal firm Optimus did a cracking job. We initially underestimated the volume (our error), which required an additional removal van at fairly short notice. Optimus we’re able to accommodate this with a perfectly reasonable adjustment to the original price.
Highly recommended.
