Simon and his team have helped us with the design of our 3 bathrooms, wardrobes and kitchen in the past 12 months and we couldn't be happier. Very friendly, patient and professional team. Absolutely ecstatic with our stunning new kitchen!!!
We wanted to knock down a wall and extend our cramped kitchen for more space and light. This required builders, plumbers, electricians, tilers, decorators, structural engineers making the project managing of the various work streams a logistical nightmare. This was apart from creating a detailed design for the proposed kitchen. We didn’t know where to start.
We went to MKB Designs in Liston Court and met Trevor, the main designer. We explained what we wanted to do and Trevor immediately engaged with us over the scope of the work. Trevor made a site visit for measurements and photos. A draft design using computer aided tools was prepared. My wife and I spend ages going through the design. This was exactly what we needed to see what the end result would look like.
We chose the colours of the furniture, flooring, layout etc. and ended up with an almost definitive specification and design. Trevor produced a detailed quotation with a breakdown of all the components. This was the major breakthrough. We were delighted with the result. Now we needed to build and install it.
After the fourth builder we tried declined to do just the building work I explained out frustration to MKB. Without builders we could not progress. Trevor discussed this with Simon the MD and they proposed that they would arrange the third party builders, plumbers, electricians etc. and project manage the project. They took no mark up on any of the ancillary work as they make their margin from supplying the kitchen.
We were delighted with the proposal as it took a lot of the co-ordination between the different suppliers off our hands as we have no building experience.
Simon project managed the builders, plumbers, electrician, flooring and decorators which went remarkably smoothly. The kitchen was delivered and Chris the fitter did an outstanding job of installing the units and appliances. His eye for detail is incredible and he made some very useful suggestions on lighting, door stops etc. The end result has totally exceeded our expectations and has the wow or X factor.
We have no hesitation of highly recommending MKB for highest quality kitchens.

We decided to convert our conservatory into a garden room, and at the same time replace our kitchen which MKB fitted over twenty years ago! The kitchen leads on to the garden room, so we just wanted something more modern.
It took me a long time and many changes to decide on my bold move to go with an all blue kitchen. However, with the help, great design skills, patience and encouragement from Eszter and the team, we are more than delighted with the result.
We employed Rob Monk and Dave (through MKB) to fit the kitchen , and aren't we pleased we did! They did a brilliant job, where nothing was impossible or too much trouble, which in an Edwardian house can sometimes be quite a challenge!
We would thoroughly recommend using MKB.

We used MKB Designs to order a kitchen splashback. Simon was incredibly helpful, accommodating and great to deal with and sorted any issues we had with the actual splashback supplier. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use again in the future. A really great company to deal with.

From our initial meeting we were very impressed with Simon's design ideas and his ability to fully understand our budget requirements .
He listened to our design ideas and with his considerable expertise was able to guide us .
His attention to detail and passion and pride in what he does shone through . Simon works very closely with his installation team and indeed visited the site on several occasions to check on progress .
The team that Simon recommended were way beyond our expectations , Holloway Decorating & Design are the ultimate dream team . Everyone worked hard to ensure it was a stress free 12 weeks and we could not be more delighted with the finished product . We can highly recommend MKB .

Simon designed us three fantastic bathrooms and one great downstairs loo! He listened to everything we wanted, gave great advice and his suggestions on look and feel were spot on and the price was very reasonable.
