Called in for a Friday lunchtime drink, there were a good number of customers tacking advantage of the good range of food outlets. Good relaxed atmosphere nice background music. Beers a little expensive that said most places are. Well worth a visit, lots of seating areas, well spaced out with a good size outside area but not in February.

Visited on a number of occasions. Saturday by far the best atmosphere. Sundays not great as only 2 food vendors on which seems odd as footfall greater on Sunday than mid week evenings. Decent choice of food and bar as draught staples as well as good cocktail selection

This is the best place upstairs facility has numerous restaurants and an open Bar.
It has lots of seating tables in different designs.
The food is fresh and delicious.
I tasted the Greek and the Tie foods and eas well impressed with the quality of these well-prepared meals.
It can be crowded but you will find a table.
There is an outside area as well where you can sit on chairs and tables.
I highly recommend this place you will be spoilt for choice.

Love the Market Kitchen, every age range, from children to oldies like ourselves, all enjoying themselves. Great relaxed atmosphere. Nero`s pizza, absolutely delicious everytime. Bar staff great, Nice Malbec and creamy Guinness . Our weekly visit for tea on Friday is something we always look forward to.

Brilliant mix of food, from traditional English fair frm around the world. Always bustling with a mixture of cultures. The food we had was fantastic, perhaps tad expensive but the quality is there to justify ❤️ support your local town and independent business 😉

Having been here loads of time and comparing it to the Cambridge Street Collective in Sheffield, there is no match. The market kitchen may lack the range of street food that the Sheffield version has but it is light years ahead of Sheffield in seating and dining space.

Far far better than the Sheffield one.

Wow this place was a great find! There are so many food stations to choose from at such affordable prices! They have tons of seating. This is a few steps from all the shopping so it’s a great place to grab a bite while shopping. Food was great. Definitely check them out!!

We went to Barnsley as not been for a while we went for a browse round the glassworks and the indoor markets , we saw the opening for the market kitchen food hall and was going to order from katys cafe it was 2.45 pm on Saturday afternoon the place was busy !
The lady at the counter said “ we’ve stopped serving food we’re only serving drinks ( a lady in front of us was just walking away from counter with a tray full of food ) but are we sooooo glad she turned us away !
We came next door to rajah foods and ordered 3 tikka masala’s , naans, rice , chips and poppadoms !
It was well presented plenty of it and absolutely delicious!!! You did us a huge favour katy’s cafe😃😃😃
