Cannot praise Richard, Liquid Space Design, too highly. Nothing was too much trouble.

Colour we chose for doors, to go with ceramic floor tiles that we weren’t replacing, didn’t have a RAL number. He sent samples to Germany: they made two smallish specimen doors in slightly differing tones for us to see.

We wanted a lid on a specific bin: after much unnecessary fuss from the supplier, he obtained one.

We wanted a radical redesign of the 30 year old kitchen in a traditional 200 year old cottage. The main change was moving the gas hob and oven from their position in the chimney breast. They had always caused problems when cooking.

A new electric induction hob was sited directly opposite plus an extractor fan above, routed along the top of the cupboards to the outside wall.

An electric oven plus a combi microwave were mounted on another wall. Underneath these is a really useful warming drawer. After much thought we opted for Corian worktops, an under-plinth heater, dishwasher, water softener and a really useful instant hot water tap [never thought I’d say that].

We have a carousel cupboard in one corner, a full length pull-out cupboard, other cupboards plus drawers in various widths and depths

The ceiling and walls were re-skimmed with plaster, LED recessed lights put in the ceiling, small light in the old chimney breast, small strip light under the cupboards.

Our ‘Richard recommended’ installers were Wayne and Vernon. Two really lovely guys who also had years of experience between them. They surveyed the work and undertook the tasks of co-ordinating all the tradespeople who would be required to complete the project.

Throughout this process, Richard was there to help, either via email or face to face meetings. What Richard brought to these sessions was his wealth of knowledge and experience.

Richard helped us through the process of designing our new kitchen and offered great advice on this journey. He was very amenable to all our suggestions (and numerous changes) made during this project. He communicated well with the builders to ensure alignment with the kitchen plans and regularly provided updates on delivery and lead times.
I am so glad we took his advice on using his team to install the kitchen. This was one of the best decisions we made as their attention to detail was faultless and Richard oversaw the whole process to ensure the finish was excellent.
The kitchen itself is great quality and you really do get what you pay for and we are very happy with the end result.
Overall, we have had a very good experience working with Liquid Space Design and highly recommend this great small company.

Richard was recommended to us by a couple of local friends. Before we had our first meeting with him, we were initially wanting to have our kitchen redesigned within the space we already had but it didn’t take long in that meeting for Richard to encourage us that the way to go was to knock our dining room and kitchen into one and this was absolutely the right decision. Richard drew up the plans and the attention to detail was meticulous with every feature designed with precision, whilst also working with us to ensure our needs were met, right down to the finest detail. The work took 6 weeks and Richard was there every step of the way, liaising with the builders, to ensure the build went to plan as smoothly as possible. Every build of this scale has its challenges and ours was no exception, but Richard and the building team have dealt with them all, maintaining their high standards throughout. Richard has given us our dream kitchen which has revolutionized the way our family live and has had many compliments from anyone who visits. We spend most of our time in the kitchen now, it really is stunning. I can’t imagine we will ever leave this kitchen behind but if we did, we wouldn’t hesitate to use Richard again, nothing is ever too much trouble, and he made the whole process easy.

After interactions with several kitchen design companies, we were very pleased to find Richard at Liquid Space Design. He made considerable effort to understand our plans and design something that fitted well with these. His encouragement to visit recently completed projects was really useful. The quality of the work was immediately obvious and the satisfaction of the customers equally apparent. Richard has a real attention to detail and is clearly very experienced in his field. Richard Stone was incredibly professional and knowledgeable, and he took the time to understand our needs and create a kitchen that was both beautiful and functional.

The design process was very collaborative, and Richard was always willing to listen to our ideas and make suggestions. He also had a lot of great insights into how to make the most of our space.
