Disappointed doesn't even begin to cover it. We feel completely betrayed by Basingstoke Howdens. After spending a significant amount on the kitchen, we now find ourselves with a product that doesn’t fit, all because Howdens made an error in measuring our space—not once, but twice during a subsequent check. This mistake has resulted in the soil pipe being in the wrong position, forcing my wife and me to incur additional costs to extend the wall to accommodate the error. Furthermore, this blunder has caused significant disruptions to our joiner’s work. The entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and costly

Lovely depot, newly renovated with lots of displays and samples - staff are friendly & welcoming & very helpful. Kitchens are good quality with lots of choice & big presentation rooms to sit and view your designs. Great service all round!

The most awful experience , fitter they recommended was a cowboy. No money back. Did supply some new units but really they should have refunded the lot to enable me to rip it out and start again. If I could post the photos I would. The fitter had his 9 year old son doing the cutting outside it was that bad and one cupboard fell off on top of the plumber nearly decapitating him! You could not make it up how bad it was! The surface they supplied marks and stains with the slightest drop or scratch. The quality of the whole thing is poor. Never again. The only positive was the guys in the warehouse are nice

If you want a good kitchen (with free design service), doors, flooring etc at a decent price...then go here.

I've fitted several kitchens and these beat B&Q, Wren, Wickes etc.

Howdens supplied what I judge to be generally high quality units, but with some issues associated with the drawer runners. However Howdens do not provide a fitting service, and we had to find a fitter (KPS Improvements) and he fitted them in very professional manner.
The issue is that Howdens say it is the fitting that is at fault and do not want anything to do with the problem.
I am a Professional Engineer and Howdens buy the units in ready made from a factory and are merely retail suppliers.
The problem comes where the responsibility is split and Howdens are saying it is the fitters problem, whereas the fitter and I know that in truth the fault lies with the construction/manufacture of the units.

Asked two company's for a kitchen quote - exactly the same units. And before Howdens could even get back to me with a price, another company had quoted, I accepted, and they were ordered in and I was collecting. Pretty much all Howdens sell are kitchens, how can it take over a week to quote for standard units straight out of their brochure I was fitting them before they even got back to me!
