Trusting Harvey Jones Cambridge with our kitchen was one of the best decisions we made when we built an extension to our home, including our new kitchen.

Claire MacKay at Harvey Jones was very good to us, providing clear explanations, a great eye for design within the space we had, great patience with us as our build was delayed, and real attention to detail on the fitting, installation and painting arrangements.

Finding reliable and good people to work with on a home extension can be difficult, but Claire made things so much easier for us. Highly recommended.

We are very happy with our new HJ kitchen. The quality of the kitchen was never in doubt and this was matched by excellent service from Rodger and Arlene in the Cambridge office. Rodger's design matched our requirements and taste and he and Arlene were available, helpful and reliable throughout the process and responded well when glitches threatened. The fitters and painters were skilled, helpful and prompt and overall this was a very good experience.

Save your money and buy a Wickes/Howden's kitchen and pay a decent builder to fit it. For the first time in our lives, we decided that our new Victorian house deserved a bespoke kitchen and were too busy to project manage it. We thought the extra money would be worth it as HJ assured us they would take care of everything. That was a total lie. The design was started by one person and then taken over by Rodger. The kitchen design was done using rough measurements, but they gave us a form to sign to say we would accept responsibility for any issues with the cupboards we received. We refused to sign until they sent someone out to measure up properly, which they did under duress. Regardless, there were STILL errors that affected the final look of the kitchen. Rodger continually tried to blame us for his mistakes (of which there were many). The tradespeople they recommended we use were required to do a lot of extra work to make up for Rodger's incompetence, and HJ did not want to compensate them for it. We ended up having to project manage as HJ did nothing and I managed to avoid several expensive issues by picking up on some of Rodger's mistakes. I could not list all the hassle we went through, and it took over 6 months to get the kitchen to the point where I just decided to give up as I wanted them out of my house. They offered us barely any compensation and their disgusting customer service left us absolutely enraged.

We’ve just been notified that they went into administration and have been bought out. I’m not surprised based on our experience and the other negative reviews I’ve seen on Trustpilot.

We have had an excellent service from Rodger at the Harvey Jones Cambridge store. Whilst we never got to progressing with the actual build of the kitchen (as costs ski rocketed elsewhere across the project so we have had to postpone the full kitchen reconfig) Rodger and his team made the initial design stage of the project extremely enjoyable. His knowledge of the whole kitchen design process really made making decisions extremely easy, suggesting cost saving options where appropriate. Such a shame we never got to see the project through to the end! I would be happy to recommend Rodger and his team to family and friends.

I don't usually write reviews but I believe Harvey Jones deserves one. We worked with Rodger to design our kitchen. The experience could not have been any better! Rodger had some fantastic suggestions and it only took a few appointments to design our dream kitchen. Through the whole process he was very professional and we always felt very comfortable. We are over the moon with the end result.
