Having decided to build an extension and to reconfigure our kitchen as an adjoining space, we spoke with several kitchen design companies, some national chains as well as more local designer studios. We settled on ALM Studio, based in Sunninghill and local to us. Luisa De Scotta de Fasano, was our designer.
We found Luisa to be outstanding, in both her knowledge of design, appreciation of practicalities, and imagination. She helped us break with convention in terms of colours schemes, and suggested affordable ways of getting every functionality into our design. She went beyond giving us samples of work surfaces, and arranged for us to visit marble and quartz worktop suppliers to see for ourselves the range and to learn more about what we might want from these materials as work surfaces. She also introduced us to splashback suppliers with whom we were able to discuss options. Luisa visited our home before we embarked on the project, so we could discuss our ideas with the planned space. During the construction phase Luisa also visited us with Hamid Abdi, the owner of ALM Studio. She liaised with our other trades involved in the project, to check dimensions of the space allocated for the kitchen and utility area.

Great experience from beginning to end. We were able to explore many ideas and visualise them. Ultimately we designed, redesigned, steered but not overly influenced. Having decided to upgrade our kitchen we have been delighted with our experience of ALM Studios Limited from beginning to end of the project and we are now loving our new kitchen.

Spending an enjoyable few hours at the studio getting design ideas and inspiration from Hamid and Luisa left us with many decisions to make. This was followed by a site visit where Luisa provided ideas and innovation on how to make best use of our available space. She took time to understand our requirements and how we use the existing space.

Project commenced as scheduled and all aspects of the project have been delivered in a timely way ensuring we now have a beautiful new kitchen and living space.

Don’t use them !

This place is a joke (unless you are a psychic ).

I arranged a simple laundry re fit ! A new sink , a few cupboards and a new washer and drier ! Simple you would have thought ?

Had to chase to get installation date only to be told by the installers on the day that the appliances had not arrived ! And then am told a plumber will turn up on Wednesday the following week and a decorator will turn up on Thursday and still cannot confirm exact date when the appliances will be delivered and installed !

And they insist you pay the full amount upfront before they start the work !

Lousy customer service and it’s not as if they are cheap !
