The store is great, but staff need training. Despite the store having toys for children, amongst the odd frown we also then received a comment when my daughter cried - no tantrum, just a cry - calling children 'wild'.

My daughter heard this, so did I. Personally I think it's 'wild' to expect no children were to welcomed into a store that sells toys!

Extremely put off making our enquires and purchases after this and will now actively avoid going, which is unfortunate as the items are lovely - just a shame about the staff! Particularly the lady near the clearance section her made the comment, who clearly needs re-training!

Restaurant - very poor cottage pie, mostly boring filler potato, cabbage hardly cooked, appear to be tinned peas and over-boiled, carrots acceptable. Wife's lasagne ok, tasty, but obviously re-heated, some staff obliging, some not. Properly qualified chef would be asser. Do appreciate have to keep your costs fown but notcthis much! Disappointing....

Large furniture store. Specializes in living room and dining room sets. Includes a medium-size fragrance and make-up section. Nice in-store cafe which is very popular and busier than the rest of the store on Saturday lunch.

Three cappuccinos - brown by virtue of chocolate on top. Zero coffee - really no coffee. Left a poor review about this place once before. Still no better. Stop using it.

Very disappointed with the Customer Service Department (over 200 years of customer care claimed) at Downtown Boston. Purchased an Adelaide 2.5 Seater Power Recliner in Silver Grey (apparently a best selling Billy Joe fabric) in August 2024, delivered 9th December 2024, complained 6th January 2025 regarding the excessive creasing on the seats.

Had a manufacturers Technician attend home to assess problem. Downtown agreed with Technicians report (which we were not privy to) and were not willing to come and inspect the sofa themselves. Referred us to Retail ADR authorised by the Chartered Trading Standards (but if an inspection has been conducted they would not investigate) or if not happy to cancel via their Cancellation Policy, where by they deduct 25% of the purchase price, a sum of just over £400 to cover their “Restocking.”

We were disgusted so arranged for them to collect asap. Collected 10th February 2025. Visited store on 12th February 2025 to speak to someone face to face to no avail. Please note the Adelaide 2.5 Seater Power Recliner on show on 12th February 2025 is exactly the same as the one we returned, has been on show since August 2024 (at least) it does not have a mark or crease on it at all unlike our returned one.

If the lady Manager, based at Grantham, actually reads these reviews it would have been nice to speak to her directly not getting someone else to speak to us AND would she be happy with the condition the sofa is now compared to your one on show.
Perhaps pop over to your Boston Store if you have not got one on display in Grantham and compare the differences.

Still waiting, 16.30 hrs on Thursday 13th February 2025 (today) for the lady Manager to ring us to discuss following contact with the Store at 09.20hrs this morning.🤬

Needless to say we shall not frequent your store anymore.

Note:- We have purchased another sofa from another supplier which comes with excellent Customer Service included free………!!!!!!! 😬

Excellent service staff very kind and helpful nothing too much trouble when buying my purchase recently revisited this excellent store today till a few years ago it was owned by oldrids and was in the centre of Boston a Market town I loved visiting really enjoyed their upstairs restaurant to have a coffee and one of their legendary scones brilliant however time moves on excellent bed and furniture selection good cosmetic and perfume department really good mens wear nice bedding a good choice of electrical products also alcohol gifts and a good choice of gin if thats your thing plenty of edible gifts love their pictures and ornaments good restaurant had a coffee it wasn't very good not up to their usual standards but enjoyed my visit they are very good to buy from as to be said but it asnt got the sparkle of oldrids in down town boston but with it now being out of town lots of free parking

A really lovely store. Visited the Estèe Lauder counter and found Natalie to be so helpful. Really good at her job, knowing what products you would benefit from. Very happy with mini makeover. Look forward to seeing her again, lovely helpful lady.
