I had my bathroom installed in February 2024 and I am delighted with the outcome! Choosing a design is not an easy task, however Sarah was very helpful throughout and gave advice as and when needed resulting in her producing a stunning design. The showroom displays were also useful regarding choice and Paul gave further valuable input when conducting the survey. The timelines for delivery and fitting were adhered to and the fitter, Mark, was hard working and obliging. Julie kept me up-to-date throughout the process and was a pleasure to deal with. There were some minor faults with two of the cabinets which were sorted out, albeit not immediately. In summary, I would happily recommend Designs For Living and all the staff I dealt with - overall a great team!

Having been wanting to renovate my bathroom for some time, I stopped into the Designs For Living showroom almost on a whim as I was passing one day to ask about quotes. Couldn't be happier to have done so.

After a quick chat with Julie about my, then still fairly vague and loose, ideas, we booked a home visit for her to get a look at the current bathroom and take measurements. This was followed by a more involved showroom meeting to discuss exactly what options were available for my space and make decisions on tiling, shower/sink/toilet styles, lighting etc. Julie was terrific here explaining various pros and cons of different materials and reasons for differing prices. She was also incredibly patient with me as I dithered over colours and patterns, eventually going on to create 2 seperate computer designs to help me choose between colour schemes that she emailed through along with a fully itemised quote.

And all this excellent service was free of charge. It wasn't until I looked over the designs and quote and confirmed my decision to go ahead with the booking that a deposit was requested.

From then on the whole process continued just as professionally and as smoothly.

Before any work began I was visited by surveyor Paul, who conducted a more thorough investigation into my bathroom to determine if Julie's design could be properly implemented. Since my house is pretty old it was unsurprising Paul uncovered a few problems with my piping and brickwork that clashed with the initial design. But he was brilliant and also extremely patient at explaining everything in layman's terms for me and together we came up with various minor alterations that would allow the refit to go ahead as planned. To be extra thorough, Paul even returned after the new design was drafted with extra tools to double check things with extendable cameras beneath my floorboards and other clever gadgets to confirm, as much as possible, the building work would be able to proceed without issue.

Then it was simply a case of booking dates for the job, which was carried out by contractor Luke and his partner, who were absolute troupers. Always friendly and considerate, they worked carefully and quickly within the limited space of my home, made sure to clean and hoover up after themselves at the end of each day and kept all their equipment and the delivered tiles/facilities/etc in as tidy a pile as possible to ensure my home remained livable throughout the work. I simply couldn't believe how fast they worked as well. The whole thing was done and dusted, to excellent quality, in the space of under 2 weeks. And that's not including the weekend, which they had as well-deserved time off. If you consider that, the building work was completed within about 7 days, which I think was extraordinary.

As to the finished product - it is perfect. Exactly what I wanted and more. When I first used the new shower I almost cried it was so good!

AND, after work was complete, I was gifted a 'bathroom warming' present in a lovely tote bag of matching shower gel and body lotion.

Overall, it really has been an absolute pleasure working with Designs For Living. Can't recommend them enough.
