We bought the lovely Elsworthy oak dining table and chairs to finish off a new extension from the original owners of BF Home.
All was going well until the table cracked and split. This was replaced without much fuss.
Then however, the chairs started to peel. With very little use post lockdown, our children in high chairs, we were baffled as to why this was happening.
We went into the Norwich store, now under new ownership (which was pointed out to us a good few times) to report the problem, to ask for advise on preventative measures, to see if anyone else had reported this problem, but didn’t get much in the way of information back.
We were asked to send photos, batch numbers and any paperwork we had, with the assurance that they would contact the manufacturer to see what could be done.
That was it. They acknowledged receipt of the email, and told us that they would be in contact. That was in May.
The life expectancy of a chair is apparently between 5 and 30 years depending on what it’s made from. These chairs barely scraped 4.
Maybe we should take the chairs to the showroom to let others see the quality of the furniture on sale.

Lovely knowledgeable staff. We bought two large sofas so big that when they delivered them we had to take the lounge window out so we could get the sofas in. Our fault for not measuring properly. The delivery men even helped my husband put the window back. Fantastic service and am absolutely loving our new sofas.

Really good experience when we bought our wardrobe. Staff at the showroom were both friendly and helpful. The fitting service was ably carried out by Nick and Mark who not only took care in putting the wardrobe together but were polite, amusing and tidy. Can't think of anything to fault.

Very poor communication. Very poor customer service. No-one takes responsibility…. I am STILL waiting for a large cushion to go with the rocking garden chair I ordered and paid for on the 5th August 2024. Last news was I would receive it in March. They have 8 days. 😤

Our experience with BF Home has been a pleasant experience from our very first contact. The extremely pleasant staff gave excellent advice and guidance throughout. The patio furniture is of a high quality and arrived on time and has been easy to assemble. Peter and his team have provided brilliant customer care. We highly recommend this wonderful store.

Got told by a friend about this shop, so decided to pop in and have a look ,and so glad I did ,what a pleasant experience from the start, from just entering into the store and being welcomed by the staff, to walking around the store looking at all the different styles of furniture, we wanted a new sofa for our lounge and picked a traditional style chesterfield as we wanted a more grown up look ,after going through the options of size, colour and materials with the sales person we decide on this lovely green cloth sofa to match our room and put our order in ,was told our sofa would be with us by so many weeks and low and behold it was ,delivery was swift and painless and was given a call by the drivers before hand which was a nice touch ,all in all a very pleasant experience, and know I have a lovely sofa even the dog likes it

Well decorated and beautifully presented furniture store. Was a bit of an accidental find as we often go to Go Outdoors next door but we were in need of a coffee table. Staff were super super helpful, so kind and there was no hard pressure selling techniques. Only thing I would say it was hard to know who was staff and who was a customer as they weren't wearing anything like a badge or lanyard (but they were so often asking if we needed help we figured it out pretty quickly!). Quite fairly priced. It is not a cheap shop but you get what you pay for with these things. You could tell a lot of the furniture was very high quality but well made, e.g. £1000 for a solid wood hefty dining table with sturdy legs and a beautiful finish actually feels like a bargain (if that's what you're after)!
Would definitely recommend for a browse, if only to try out the many funky armchairs!

Cannot honour delivery lead times as too reliant on suppliers. Not willing to offer display model of furniture. Ordered 13thAugust with 6 week lead. Will not be receiving furniture paid for until mid November.
Communication poor and no compensation offered apart from “do I want to cancel order”.
Seems a bit of a stupid offer as I ordered two pieces of furniture that match for a room.
It would appear the attitude of couldn’t really care less and we have your money. Not a way to run a business. Carry on this way and the business will not last.
