My friend and I stumbled across this lovely inn this afternoon, and decided to pop in for some lunch. What a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, especially in this cold weather. We ordered the lentil pie and truffle burger which were divine. Our waitress was most hospitable and took great care of us. Highly recommend! 8.5/10 We will be back Bay Horse Inn!!

Went for a romantic meal for my birthday, totally ruined by being so close to the table behind , all i could hear was a conversation about how vagrants die in Canada and what a horrible death it was, this went on for over a good hour, not what you want to hear at the dining table.
Felt like i was sat on their table it was so close.

Stopped for lunch near but away from Motorway, what a great decision , Excellent Service Food & coffee. Well worth phoning ahead &taking detour away from "services" Only stopped for lunch but will stop again.

Food reviews did not match my poor experience here. Lovely building, attentive staff and £32 for 2 course menu indicated quality. Crab starter lacked eye appeal and too cold for full flavour. Sadly the Roast was mostly inedible. Beef although pink was so chewy I gave up. Roast and mash potatoes tasted stale. Tasteless Yorkshire pudding. Vegetables dull. So sad and what a rip off.

Love this place. Gorgeous pub in beautiful surroundings, and the food is excellent. We've just had Sunday roast - tender, melt-in-the-mouth beef for me, roast chicken with sublime stuffing for him. Such a friendly team, too. One of my favourite places to dine in the Bowland area.
