Just had our 4th stay at Avenue house. We absolutely love this place. Lovely clean rooms and a top quality breakfast, using top produce yummy. We will continue to stay at Avenue house when visiting Bakewell. Walking distance to all of Bakewells pubs and restaurants. If you are planning to visit Bakewell, give Avenue house a go.

Very clean room/b&b with a nice freshky cooked breakfast. The b&b is only a 5 minute walk to the city centre, and the free on-site parking is a plus. Staff was very friendly, and the rooms also have a nice selection of tea/coffee/snacks to choose from.

Our second visit to this lovely b&b. We have stayed in room 2 both times which is a lovely large room with en-suite. The breakfast is superb. Sarah can’t do enough for you asking if everything is ok and do you want anything else. Will definitely be back. The location is ideal to walk into Bakewell.

We only stayed one night what a mistake it was lovely ....from a comfortable bed to great breakfast and all with fantastic staff.We loved it and our standards are high it's a great place to stay and should be on the top of everyone's list for comfort .....it was great

The worst place ever.. if they want to charge £110 per room, they should mention right in the beginning that this is a self service hotel.. nothing here is done by any staff because there aren’t any.. not to welcome you, not to switch on your heating in the bedroom or even help you with your luggage, surely for that price I would’ve looked at a more customer friendly hotel with services.. just a complete nightmare.. not a single person in the entire hotel to help you with anything, just get your stuff and settle yourself in.. ridiculous.. if it was £50-60 I would’ve understood you have to check in, check out and everything else in between yourself.. what a disappointment and unsatisfactory experience. Worst place ever. Do not waste your money.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Avenue House. The house is charming and very well located with an easy walk of around 5 minutes into town. The room was very warm and quiet eventhough we had a room facing the street. Beds were comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was freshly cooked each morning and there was no shortage of seconds if you wanted it but the portions of food was plentiful. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Car parking was right out front and convenient. We highly recommend a stay here and Bakewell is lovely.

Stayed for 1 night on our journey to the Lakes. Our room was nicely decorated with pieces of older furniture blending well with the modern decor. The beds were extremely comfortable, the small bathroom had a good hot shower and the double aspect room was light and airy with a decent hospitality tray and a small fridge available on the landing to store fresh milk. Breakfast was simply but nicely cooked.||There were a few minor niggles. The towels were a little raggedy and mine was torn. The duvets were too thick for the summer months with no alternative available. The house sits on a busy road although it becomes much quieter later in the evening. Overall a pleasant stay.
