I was walking inside to go to the bookstore and it was mostly empty except for a few staff walking around the campus. There was a group of what looked like 3 professors (or other staff) standing and talking to eachother by the balcony and 95% of their language was cusswords. It was like nails grinding on a chalkboard. It sounded so unprofessional and trashy. Yuck.

This location definitely shows how well an old dated mall can be used in an effective efficient way. There is a lot of apartment housing built in the area. It is easy to access admissions + other student services.
Although this campus is still in process, there are new set ups for podcasting, filming, medical science, culinary arts, a gallery as well as much more.

Soi need to go to get information on ESOL classes. Other staff were good but i didn’t like that front desk girl she was super rude. She dont know how to talk i was explaning the scenario she was super rude
I hate her she neither help me niether solve my confusion.
She is the lady from fromt desk where i need to have to take English reading writing exam. And she was super rude she could talk gently but she was like no no you have to bring this and that..
i hate her. I wish i dont need to deal her again.

I really wanted to go to acc. The issue for me was that the admissions office demand I give every transcript. I'm going back to school and some school I was at only one or two semesters they demanded the transcript anyway. You have to pay 20$ about for each one. I didn't know the dates I was at one college anymore. I actually saw afterword it was on a college transcript that transfer it in and it shows what I told admissions. It was only two semesters maybe 15/ 30 credits. So I was very disappointed in this problem because I already have a degree and they still demand Ed that!!

I was also told there was a rule i can't repeat previous classes even if the class was a long time ago. I wish the college didn't have this rule because it's nearly impossible to get a job now and it prevented me from taking classes here even though they had better studio and equipment.

The college gave me a lot of help the job class was very good and the job coach has helped a lot. I also met with a career counselor. So that was really helpful than any other school. I really did want to go here!!

I did take art history in the summer and since I knew nothing about art history that was a mistake. They gave us only two weeks to write a research paper mla.

This is a two for one review: ACC Highland Campus and Austin PBS's new studio/offices.
It's a WOW! I was able to get a first look into the new Austin PBS studio days before its grand opening to the public. It may be empty now, with a few last minute furnishings and paint etc., but what a fantastic space it is and will be for Austin. The ACC campus is shared with Austin PBS grounds which are absolutely gorgeous. Beautifully set in the middle of a grove of old established oak trees you'll find coffee and bakery shops, fooderies, and a nail salon that surround the campus.
Students who want to live close to the ACC campus will have various new apartment housing to choose from. Some residencies are so close to the ACC doors, students could roll out of bed and walk right across the street and be inside. Parking is generously available too, with several parking garages within walking distance from both Austin PBS and ACC. Bottom line... The new Austin PBS and ACC campus is a grand new indoor/outdoor space in Austin!

Nice concept badly executed. With just a few changes it could be great.
1) It is way too hard to get around. There are not enough maps posted and the ones up are badly designed. Like on the current map it looks like you can walk to building 3000 from the inside.
2) They went with a different numbering system for rooms than any of the other campuses.
3) Security theater.
4) Information also doesn't know where rooms are. They are almost impossible to hear behind the glass and I have excellent hearing.

This is a great school and it has some amazing professors, however make sure to go to Rate My Professor and rate your professor before choosing one, because I have encountered some very unhelpful and uncaring professors. Also, make sure to get an advisor that knows how to advise students and do your own research on the classes you need for your degree plan, because I have had some advisors that gave me incorrect advising information, and led me in the wrong direction. The feedback from the advisors are very important to my success as a student and I rely on the information they provide.

We, my mom and I, went to the College in the afternoon and on Martin Luther King day. A guard prevented my mom from entering and told her it was closed. This was odd since I had checked their website on Google and it said in bold print, it opens, from 8 am to 10 pm. A pop-up came on which implied that it might change. A little later the guard checked on us but I thought my mom had a plan since I didn't know where to stay. The next day began our first visit to this College. We started from the second floor this time and mom waited while I stood in line at the front desk and learned that you need a photo ID card to go through the school. You can get one at a certain office...for ACC. Anyway, I learned that pretty quickly because I wanted to meet a recruiter who I thought would be in the visual communication department. The door required a magnetic card or badge to get in. The recruiter was only found on the computer system so the 2nd person in the 2nd office took me with my mom to the computer lab and got us a proxy number to wait in line. I then waited on a computer self-service line for an adviser/advisor. She asked if there was anything she could help me with. I assumed she wanted to see my English essay which is what brought me here because my English teacher loved it. It was some paperwork she needed. I filled the papers out that she gave me and waited in line for enrollment. There were three more people to meet. I am now a student currently enrolled in College and people treat me with a lot more respect, I noticed, than they did before.
