we chose Assistive bathing Co. after seeing numerous TV ads for there products.
all parties involved from the initial home visit by Eddie and the surveyors both very knowledgable and informative, then the nice lady in the office , Rachel who was constantly keeping us updated and checking to make sure we were happy with the level of service we were receiving and finally, Fraser the fitter, or should i say Magician! as our old house was having to make him change plans and come up with super ideas to get the job done, Fraser was here for 4 days removing our old bathroom and fitting a carer walk in shower. absolutely superb job from all concerned. We couldn't be happier.

The service we received from Assistive Bathing from start to finish was excellent. The initial work completed by our surveyor was first class followed with excellent technical expertise with ourselves having input. The actual work completed by the Welsh Wizard (Warren) was completed effectively as he continually asked for our input and checked everything was to our liking. Warren arrived at 8.00am and worked meticulously throughout the day (although cups of tea were required). The work was completed within time and to a fantastic standard. Warren also showed us how everything worked and advised if things needed changing due to improving the dynamics. The new floor was laid by Martin in no time. Finally, an electrician came to check everything was fine. Regular contact with Sharon, our liaison officer, also provided reassurance and guidance. Overall, work was carried out quickly and efficiently and cannot fault the service provided.

We have recently had our whole bathroom done. It was fitted and completed by Nick Turner. He was officent, professional, polite and caring. He completed the job to a very high standard and he was very customer focused. Absolutely brilliant and definitely recommend.

I telephoned for brochure which I never received but representative of company came promptly to assess my bathroom and give me quote. I was advised that it should be installed quite quickly and I was led to believe that I had to pay 25% then a further 25% on delivery. I actually asked if remainder was due when completed and was told yes. I later was told I had to pay everything before work was started. With regards to surveyor, I was initially given a date in January which I was not happy with and eventually they brought it forward. The surveyor reminded me 25% of payment was due and I actually paid it before he had left my premises. He said that I would be given a ring with regards to a start date two days later. I never heard anything and so I rang the office. They told me that the lady was on holiday to January and advised me that they had not received payment. I felt that they had led on at least two occasions and I was not happy as they would not be doing anything until the new year. My neice rang them 6th or 7th of January and I was advised that they were finding it hard to get fitters as they had a lot of work on. They eventually said work will commence 13th January. The fitter arrived and later in day the items required arrived but at least one item was missing. I received a call from company asking if I had any questions which at that time I didn't. The fitter was thorough and was excellent at his job. He advised me work would be completed by Friday. Toilet was about to be fitted on the Thursday but it was realised that toilet was not the correct one. I was not happy with this but was advised that it could be changed over but he would not be able to complete by Friday. The poor fitter, was many miles away from home and he had to work on his birthday. The company would have had to pay out a lot for him to stay in London, replace toilet and pay fitter for working extra days. It was going to be inconvenient for me and would of meant me having to find a different carer for my dog at £70 a day. I said that I was not happy but agreed to have the incorrect toilet fitted. The fitter rang his boss and discussed it with him. The company office never bothered contacting me let alone offered me any compensation for their mistake. At no point had I asked for a comfort toilet and I specifically said I wanted a standard height one when asked. Seller had indicated standard but surveyor appeared to have changed it to Comfort. I was advised that office would ring me everyday but I only heard from them once. Their policy regarding payments is awful and their customer service is non existent apart from the fitters. I paid well over the estimates made by other companies but this companies customer service did not live up to what I was expecting. I am pleased with final result apart from toilet but felt I should warn others who are thinking of using this company.

I am updating my review as we had an issue 13 months after installation with the sink and cabinet separating from the wall. I have taken away one star as it took quite a battle and 3 phone calls to different staff members before I spoke to a helpful manager named Lizzie who quickly arranged for a repairman to come and fix. Overall my elderly godfather is very pleased with his bathroom.

We had our new bath fitted in November and was initially pleased with it although tye installer seemed to have to rush things at the end.
Since then we have identified certain areas which haven't been finished properly but one major issue relating to the water system.
Now we cannot have the water on full time because of a terrible screeching coming from one of the taps. This means we can't use the washing machine, and have to keep turning the water off and on to wash and flush the loo. It's like living like primitives.
A surveyor has called twice but was unable to identify the main problem but has apparently made a report for the company to come and remedy the problem.
I have sent numerous emails and made phone calls, most of which have been ignored and not replied to. One reply from Frankie says we are trying hard to get a team to come and set things right, but clearly their main priority is new installations, money coming in. They don't care about people with problems.
The customer service/aftershaves service is non existent. Frankie admitted they don't have a system for emergencies.
It's now well over a month since I first complained and nothing has happened.
I would never recommend this company to anyone.
