What an amazing solution to allow us to maximise how we use our VW Transporter Kombi. From family car to camper in less than 30 seconds. The Van-King bed system allows us to have the very best of both worlds without the cost of a full conversion and challenges/discomfort of a R&R bed!!
Their bed system has an extremely comfortable mattress for a full width bed. The storage is fully utilised with easy access via the Van-King steel slider system and their cooKing Pod allows for the cooking facilities that give us flexibility when enjoying the outdoors.
Murray is super informative, a perfectionist and nothing is too much trouble. He is passionate about his product and wants you to enjoy his products and the outdoors as much as he does.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Outstanding Work by Van King!

I had a vision for our Ridez and Vibez Volkswagen T5.1—a custom-built slide-out mechanism to house my DJ decks. While my company had already upgraded the system, we had no clue how to design or build the sliding DJ booth or even who to contact.

After a quick Google search, I found Van King and gave them a call. From my first chat with Murray, I knew these were the guys to bring my idea to life. I visited their workshop, explained my concept, and they immediately understood the vision. Their expertise and confidence reassured me that this was finally going to happen.

Murray kept me updated throughout the entire process, and within just a few weeks, I returned to see the finished build. The result? It FAR exceeded my expectations! The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and quality of work were absolutely top-tier.

Murray at Van King is a pleasure to deal with. After initial phone calls for advice when I was making a decision on how to add a bed to my van, I made the decision to buy a van king bed as they offer so much flexibility over a ‘normal van conversion.’ Drove up to get it fitted and have not looked back since.

This was 5 years ago and after lots of adventures from Scotland to the South of France and everything in between, I decided to once again contact Murray to buy a steel slider drawer to make my set up even easier to use. Got back from the van king unit a few days ago after fitting and it seems a great addition to my van.

Very professional company with lots of great advice and I can testify that the products stand up to years of use without any issue.

I’d recommend and have done so on numerous occasions for anyone who doesn’t want a full conversion with kitchen units etc

Was well worth going to Van King. Murray called me just as I was leaving to let me know that a tree had been blown down and blocked off the road to his unit, he then let me know when it would be clear and a time to leave. We are very pleased with the bed and sliding drawer. We have not had chance to try the bed out yet. Looking forward to more adventures in the future.
All i can say is, Murray is a top bloke, very professional and done a great job, even directed us to a nice coffee shop.

I can totally recommend Van-King bed systems, I purchased a SWB bed for my T6.1 and it’s just a great well built piece of kit.
Murray is a thoroughly decent chap, who speaks to you personally and talks about your needs.
The bed system is so adaptable, being able to change from a king size bed to 3 rear seats again in minutes.
Move a few things around and you have the full load space again.
Built to last and can’t recommend them enough.

We were really struggling to come up with a setup for our van when we got it last year. Wanted a sleeping setup for camping and also a way to transport our two large Dalmatians. Came across an advert showing the Van-King setup and immediately fell in love with it. Contacted Murray who was extremely helpful and friendly and arranged a date for the fitting. A great product from Murray and his team. The service was great, and the product is a really nice design and it is finished to a really high standard.
It is at a nice height that leaves bags of space underneath, whilst not feeling too restricted in the sleeping area above.
Murray was brilliant and fitted it for me at his unit. He gave me the full lowdown on how to take it in and out and went through all the features.
I can’t wait to use this more in the spring!

I have recently had installed a Van King bed, slider, and cooking pod to my VW Kombi. After researching my options, I chose Van King because their system allows for easy removal of the bed and cross struts, giving me the flexibility to carry larger items when needed. Upon research the system also seemed well engineered and a better quality product than others on the market.
