Every time I need to buy a new light for my home, or just want to buy someone a present on the way to a local party I will pop in to Abbeygate lighting as it’s a great place to go.

Reason for my review today, I had a slight issue with some bulbs recently and they were superb sorting the issue, I dealt with the owner when I went in and she was a delight, and even gave me a lift with the lights to my car.

Very nice and welcoming staff.
Yes they do have a huge and diverse stock and have really nice offers but would recommend for alternative if you only go there to buy a bulb. Paid 6 times more for a similar (not identical) LED small bulb than in home bargains

Wish the staff were more welcoming but I find them a bit unfriendly and condescending. Considering my interaction this time was in after care I unfortunately will be looking elsewhere when I need to purchase lighting fixtures.

We were passing this shop this week on a visit to Bury St Eds and I bought 2 LED bulbs. I nearly fell over when the woman said £19.99 & just thought they'd really gone up a lot since my last purchase. Imagine my annoyance when I discovered them in my local town at FOUR for £10.99. I feel absolutely stupid, ripped off and the woman wasn't a happy soul either. I felt she didn't want to be there and I won't be any more!

Beautiful shop but shocking customer service. Was unsure about a light but Hannah was very persuasive and convinced us it would be a good idea. We raised our concerns about the chain being too long and she assured us that if this was the case, we could return the light and get a refund. We then paid for the light and Hannah then informed us we can return it for an exchange but not a refund. The light was a lot of money and we are disappointed with the dishonest service.
