Where do I start with how good Hood are? I first encountered them after getting back into biking and looking for a new pair of jeans. They were highly recommended by a Bennetts review so off I went and purchased a pair of their K7 jeans complete with D30 armour. Later that day I got a personal thank you email, which is a real nice touch. Unfortunately, the first pair went missing in the post but a new pair were dispatched immediately and when they arrived, they were a little too long in the leg and a bit baggy for me so I contacted Julie at Hood and she couldn't have been more helpful, organised a return and exchanged them for their slimmer profile SK11 jeans.

As for the jeans themselves, obviously they're heavier than a normal pair of jeans, but they are soft, supple and extremely comfortable. The armour is top notch too. I hope I never have to find out how they perform in a crash but given their construction, I'm sure they'd do a job.

So, a top notch product and genuinely some of the best customer care I've experienced. I will absolutely be buying another pair in the future.

Amazing riding jeans! As a tall man, 208 cm, it’s hard to find pants that are long enough. I emailed Hood jeans, and they found me a pair of black K7 with a 38" length. They’re perfect and comfortable. They don’t ride up my legs when I sit on the bike, and I can wear low-top shoes with my skin still covered.
if there is any tall men out there looking for comfortable riding pants with protection. this is it!

It is refreshing to find a company that is truly committed to safety and quality. I ordered a pair of K7 jeans and they are amazing. From the silky full lining, to the deep front pockets, to the extra belt loops and custom length alteration; these are the absolute best riding jeans on the market. I have had partially lined, and combination material jeans in the past and they always felt thin and cheap, with bulky knee armor. These Hood Jeans are supremely comfortable, constructed to last, and offer 3 different hip and knee armor options. I opted for the D3O Ghost lvl2. The armor is so barely noticeable, that you wouldn't know they were armored by looking at them. The silky full lining will definitely help during the eventual slide. It's not if you will go down, it's when, and these jeans provide me a high level of confidence every time I ride. Julie is so kind and considerate and the shipping was lightning fast from the UK to the US. I tell everyone I know who rides, about these jeans. Well done Hood!

Hood Jeans

After much investigation, reading of articles and visits to several shops, I decided to purchase jeans from Hood despite some of the very negative comments during a visit to one well known anti Hood retailer.

I bought a pair for myself and one for my wife. They arrived very quickly well packed and surprisingly fitted us both absolutely spot on. The quality of the jeans is very high, the stitching, small finishing touches are excellent and the quality of the denim very soft to the touch. On first impressions they are a very high quality product.

We have had them for a year now and I am still delighted with my purchase. They feel comfortable when on and off the bike, they are a little heavier than ordinary jeans but only to be expected really, and I do wear a pair of braces with them (probably because I could do with loosing a few pounds) but they feel comfortable and that they will give me protection in the event of a spill. The armour isn’t noticeable when wearing them and stays in place when fitted, it took me a few goes to get it in the right place for riding but the design of the holders allows for plenty of adjustment.

All in all in my experience is that Hood jeans are an excellent product, great value, and will do the job as specified. I would not hesitate to purchase again and would recommend to anyone that they get a pair. You will not be disappointed.

Customer service was fantastic with a personal touch you get from a family run business. Delivery was much faster than I expected, 5 days from order to door!

Jeans are excellent, well made and strong. Feel heavy when holding them but bot wearing them. They are the most comfortable jeans I have ever owned, more comfortable than my regular Levis.

I got the level 2 ghost armor and it feels almost like there is no armor but jeans definitely feel like they offer great protection, hopefully will never test that.

We have just received some jeans from Hood Jeans. They are awesome. Hubby is so fussy about riding jeans and we have been looking at them for the past year. I honestly expected him to have an issue when they arrived. However he popped them on and was so very impressed. He loves that they just look like normal jeans. I am so relieved he is finally going to be wearing some proper protection. Being able to order them the correct length is super helpful. Julie was a great help when we were unsure about which to buy. I can only say good things about the jeans (K7 / AAA) and the service received. Julie was very helpful with explaining the size, measurements and the fit of the jeans. The quality seems high and the armour (D3O Ghost Level 1) is discreet. If I need more jeans in the future I would have no hesitation purchasing from Hood Jeans.

I was just gonna order a single layer pair of jeans from a different company when I saw hood jeans multi layers advertised so took a look . Boy was I glad I did , I ordered the sk111 with the armour and on delivery was very impressed with the quality and fit . The armour fitted very neatly into the pockets inside and still looked great on . No one could say these jeans were triple layered or armoured when worn and even my wife a non biker commented on how good they look . Now looking forward to the new bike to go under them . Been riding big bikes for 30+ years and swore by leathers even sweating my nads off in summer I thought they were best so gonna be a good change now and hopefully not so hot spuds when arriving at destinations. Really good product from Hood and can’t recommend highly enough 5 *
